Cole "AND" Ashley

As I grow in my marriage, I realize that things are no longer about me. They are about us. This page is a testament to that lesson. "The Jeep Page" just didn't seem appropriate anymore.

Married...WITH GRACIE

Have you ever wondered why we named our blog this way? It's because everything we do includes the wonderful Gracie Lynn...even if we don't intend it to. Even something as mundane as taking photos to update our blog.
Cole painted his wheels black.
Turns out, it looks great. It makes his truck look a lot more modern and "hip." It's part of his quarter-life crisis.
We moved the newest boat into the sunroom to help the glue set. It's mighty cold around here right now so doing all the fiberglass work in the shop isn't working out very well for setting.
As promised, I am including as small preview of my new rug and bedroom set-up for my mom. The entire room is still not completed, so I will do a nice shot later when I've actually cleaned the room.
Oh, there's Gracie, waiting for her photo op while I take one of the bedroom.
There she is again with my brand-new Christmas ballerina hippo. (yes, she has a tutu. I am also going to have a fairy hippo with wings)
This small rug came with the large one and matches great in the entryway.
Sitting patiently while the entryway photo is taken.
Tonight was date night...Cole bought me new shoes. Pink, and sparkly...nuf said.
That's all for now!

Layout boat demonstration

What is a layout boat? A boat you lay out in. Ducks don't see you because of the low profile on the water. Some are painted gray to blend in with water on a cloudy day and used to hunt open water in the middle of a lake or river. Mine will be for whatever whenever.

Next demonstration will be in the finished boat on the water... hope it floats.

PS...Cole's birthday is coming up...he likes diamonds.

Need to know

I have had these photos saved on the camera for too long. Too long being the last time that my mom and dad visited, so I am now sharing them because I feel like they will make a positive impact on your proceeding week.
I knew I loved our new office, I just didn't realize everyone else in this house loved it just as much...for different reasons.
Yes, she really has decided that her head needs to rest on a pillow these days. I have tried to explain to her that humans do this because it installs proper alignment for our spines...but she really doesn't seem to like having her non-human status explained to her, and it really just causes her to act out and kick me while I sleep.
I know that these photos go as far back as that specific visit because it was at this time that I realized that Cole really did marry me for my looks...not for my vegetable-growing skills. Case-in-point...my onion compared to my mom's.Sadly, I am okay with this shallow-based opinion and have now decided to put it to full force to get what I want even more often. I just know my sister-in-law Devon would be so proud of me, feminism at its best! :)

To the coast in search of crab!

Yep, all four and half hours of it. It is not easy to get to the coast from Klamath. There really isn't a good way to get there. You just bite the bullet and go, luckily we had a great incentive to keep us going. We met Ashley's parents in Coos Bay where they had graciously rented a vacation house for us to stay. The weather wasn't too bad for October and we had a great time. We didn't get any action shots of the crabbing, but our niece Brooklyn seem to appear in quite a few photos. She is growing so quickly and is a blast to spend time with. Her and Gracie seem to be best friends these days.
