Well, we went camping for the first time this year. It was great. Nice weather (very cold at night though), good food, a few little fish, and some quality time together in the JEEP!! We stayed at Topsy on the Klamath River. The first day we set up camp and then went over to the Sportsman Park for some target shooting and a little 4x4 trail riding.
They charge $5 for the day and have a motorcross track, 4x4 trail, model plane flying area, archery range, and pistol/rifle range. Pretty cool little area, but we pretty much exhausted the possibilities on the trails. There wasn't much there but a few little hills to climb and some small rocks to play on. After park, Ashley got some behind the wheel time as we made our way into the canyon by way of topsy grade.
A little relaxing by the river and then we raced back up the hill as fast as we could back to camp for some fast driving fun. It was a good time. Back at camp I caught a small crappie and we grilled some hamburgers.
The next morning, after a very long and freezing nights sleep, I managed to catch a couple more panfish and a small bass. All after a nice bowl of frosted flakes.
Ashley slept in... big surprise... and then we packed up and headed out. We hit up the other side of the river for an hour or so looking for some bigger fish (didn't work) and then went home. We are both sunburned to say the least.

Looks like a wonderful time - I'm admiring your wife for tolerating the cold nights!
