The lake was good to me today!
I went out for a leisurely stroll through the lake when all of the sudden, FISH ON!! After a good fight, and again no net, I decided to let him go. I wanted to keep fishing and the lake limit is one per day. I considered myself blessed to have caught a fish early in my day, but soon talked to another fishermen who had also hooked into a good one. With water temp being down 5 degrees from last week I didn't think there would be much action, but maybe I was wrong. I fished for another half hour or so when bam!... another fish on. I had big plans to keep it, but when I brought it up to the sun light it was very dark colored with many scars. Back in the water he went. A short time later, another fish on. This one felt much bigger and was taking line. After a little vigorous run towards the boat I got a glimpse of bright silver just beneath the boat as the fish rolled and flopped trying to get away. He succeeded providing me with an LDR (long distance release). My motor was running a little cold so I decided to take a quick hot lap around the bay before heading in for the day. On my way back I slowed back to idle only a few hundred yards from the dock and decided to troll my way in. Not 30 seconds after setting my rod I had a fourth fish on. He is in the fridge soaking to be smoked tomorrow. For whatever reason the fish were biting great today and I'm confident had I stayed out a few more hours I could have boated more fish.

Did Gracie take that first photo of you in the boat? I have never felt as out of the loop as I do trying to follow all your "fish talk" Fish on? I guess that means you "hooked it"? Please stop putting gross fish in my fridge and stop using my good kitchen tools to clean it. That's gross.

I'm jealous!
Did you use your new fishing reel?
No, I haven't put line on it yet. Soon though.
Just wait until he breaks one of your good kitchen knives cutting up frozen fish for crab bait.
