Squeaks

It's still pretty cold out. Even on the sunny days. We are getting some nice weather amongst the typical spring weather though and that means that the ground squirls are starting to come out. The farmers are tormented by these little guys every year as they tear up their nicely plowed fields and leave ankle breaking holes everywhere. Thanks to my good friend Allan, I have another field or two on my list of squeak shooting hot spots. Logan and I went out for a quick hour or two of target practice and helped out the farming community at the same time.

Let this post serve as an invitation to anyone. If I have the day off, the weather is nice, and you are in town.... I'll take you squeak shooting. The season lasts until the grass gets too tall to see the little buggers. It is usually still good well into May and sometimes into mid June. Just bring your favorite rifle and give me a few days notice.
