Last night I made Ash some szechuan stir fry. We were happily licking our lips and drinking smoothies to calm the spice when it dawned on me. This really reminds me of the nursery. Hmm, weird. I don’t think mom every made us szechuan growing up. I realized then that it wasn’t the type of food, but the taste. If I had to pin it down I think it would be the very real hint of emerald green arbs… wait maybe it’s hibiscus… uh, no I think it has to be taxus. Yep, definitely taxus. If I concentrate, I may even be able to savor the Santiam in this meat.
